Right from the start, the focus of the company was on the search for innovative products that combined operative customization with ease of use.

In order to accelerate growth, RDS S.r.l. acquired CSM S.r.l. in 1998. Formerly associated with IBM, this long-established company was already active in the field of enterprise management software.

This acquisition was made in order to acquire a suite of highly specialized software that would serve as the basis for developing the concepts of the future.

The take-over was followed by a complete re-engineering of the software, to make it Web enabled in view of the Internet revolution that was sweeping through the computer industry.
