RDS was founded in Modena in 1993 with the aim of developing highly-innovative corporate management solutions.
In its first four years of activity it specialised in corporate consultancy oriented to the process enhancement and became a reference point in Italy with regard to the international commercialisation of ERP solutions.
- 1997:
RDS began to develop the technology to implement Web management applications as an evolution of HOST solutions. This has allowed the transfer of Web Hosting within a technological and development environment that allows rapid implementation of applications, confirming RDS’ leadership in the field.
- 1998:
RDS acquired CSM and initiated a web-based migration plan of its management solutions, enabling complete integration and installion in every platform (S/390, AS/400, Unix, Linus, Windows) with a front-end Web. May 2008
- 2000:
RDS started the commercialisation of an ASP service (pay per use) of myRDS.
- 2002:
RDS developed the ERP Application Server in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- 2004:
RDS presented the RDS ERP solution, a complete web-based service.
- 2005:
RDS offered in ASP its Suite On Demand (ERP + B2B + CRM + B.I.).
- 2008:
In response to a market need for solutions aimed at specific sectors and in light of the company’s experience, RDS offered its own ERP in the following vertical solutions:
In order to promote and distribute its products and services RDS makes use of:
- its own commercial network oriented to large companies;
- participation in companies oriented to the development of vertical markets;
- organisation of indirect sales (certified partners) oriented to Small and Medium Enterprises.
RDS’ registered office is in Modena, its software plant in Parma, and it has branches in Milan and Rome for commercial operational activities and customer support.
