CASE HISTORY: BOERO

Boero group is a sector leader in: the production and distribution of paints, construction products and activities in the naval and yachting sectors. It is at the forefront in production technologies and research on colorimetry and new product lines. Boero has ISO 9002 certification and through a balanced management of human resources and constant interaction with clients it is continuously evolving to compete with the main European operators.

Last year the Boero group chose RDS e-ERP solutions to obtain the following results:

Integration with other production management and sales order entry applications, using “WEB TALK” RDS technology which uses the logic of splitting and uploading of an XML file and consent to start processes such as the execution of application functions or the notification of e-mail (Web Mail);
To have at its disposal an ERP II or e-ERP (Web-enabled) with 3-Tier architecture and therefore irrespective of D.B., client operating system, server operating system, and above all integrated with e-Business and whoever participates in the comprehensive business system (SCA) such as suppliers, subcontractors, agents, distributors, partners, clients etc…; for the structured management of relations with acquired clients and to automate the sales force, much importance is given to the global solution provided by RDS e-ERP and CRM Salesforce.com with whom RDS has established a business partner agreement;
Having an XML-enabled ERP and therefore accessible from any client with standard internet access on any platform with no need for components other than the browser.

During the project, Boero found in RDS a complete ICT supplier with whom to undertake complementary projects such as logistical and physical production of a D.B. that will contain RDS System data, production and logistic system data or data coming from the external market, and that will be the object of Business Intelligence Instrumentation (dashboard and so on) for the commercial and logistic structures, and for other management functions.

Within 6 months, on 1 January 2003 RDS reached the go-live target of Attiva S.p.A., one of the group’s companies.

The first phase successfully completed, implementation was started of the RDS e-ERP solution for the rest of the Boero group, with completion planned for this year.

Boero represents a prestigious reference for RDS solutions.
